Journalists have been portrayed in American films in many different ways sometimes they are the guarantors of democratic transparency, sometimes they are the personification of sensationalism. They can be thorough investigators in the name of the people or capitalists profiteering of the pain of others. Through the lens on how journalists have featured in films and series we will analyse the larger role of journalism in US society.
