The areas of digital history and public history are among the fastest-developing and most innovative fields in history today. Fundamental debates unfold at the points where they intersect. In combination they highlight essential questions about how we study the past, and the future of this pursuit. Focusing on examples from the U.S. and Canada, this seminar will discuss practices, opportunities, and challenges of digital public history from archives to social media, to data collection, and logarithms.
