The United Nations - after multiple previous related declarations - adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 to be reached by 2030, signed by all member states. Climate action is one of the important goals. All SDGs are interconnected and actions regarding individual goals affect others. The basis of most if not all of these goals is the future of mankind. For this is it imperative that the planetary boundaries are respected. Universities have a major responsibility in providing solutions and eduction necessary for reaching these goals. Teaching of SDG-relevant subject areas and defining clear action plans is thus an aim that we pursue here at the LMU. Check the SDG achievements of your community here: https://sdg-portal.de/de/
