Course Description
This seminar introduces participants to structured approaches to knowledge creation
in behavioral science. Alongside understanding epistemological foundations,
participants will learn about the interplay of theory and empirical research to craft
convincing empirical packages for research papers aiming to make theoretical
contributions. Emphasis is placed on behavioral science, particularly experimental
designs, though the course is suitable for various fields within management science.
Assignment / Grading
Students are expected to actively participate in the discussions, as well as to prepare
and present a registered report aiming to contribute to existing theory. Grades will be
based on the presentation of the registered report (15-minute presentation, 15-
minute discussion), covering the following elements: introduction and background,
methodology (study/experimental design and procedures), analysis plan, expected
outcomes, and theoretical contributions.

Course Description
This seminar introduces participants to behavioral aspects of marketing
management, with a focus on consumer psychology and behavior. Emphasis is
placed on experimental findings from behavioral science pertaining to insights and
implications for marketing practice.
Assignment / Grading
Students are assigned a topic, prepare a seminar paper (approx. 10-12 pages;
22,200-33,000 characters) on this topic, and give a 15-minute presentation of their
paper. Presentations are followed by a 10-minute group discussion in which active
participation is expected. Grading will be based on written assignment (50%) as well
as on oral contributions (50%).

on the third floor of Ludwigstr. 28 (RG), 80539 Munich. Attendance at all scheduled
