Well before the start of a semester the teacher will give a list of suitable subjects for the proseminar.  The subjects may vary.  They are based on the knowledge the students have acquired in calculus, algebra, probability theory or possibly also basic actuarial knowledge.  The proseminar is aimed at giving a basic introduction to subjects of mathematics or actuarial sciences that are not covered by the basic and in-depth modules.
